One of SouthField’s highlights will be a 48-acre family-friendly sports and recreation center — the finest, most complete sports experience for you and your active family.

A Sports & Recreation Complex membership will be available to SouthField homeowners at a preferred rate.

Outdoor facilities are expected to include:

• Some fields lighted and covered during winter months
• 5 regulation multi-purpose fields with synthetic turf, some lighted; each field will measure 105,000 sf and will be convertible for soccer, baseball, field hockey, football, rugby or lacrosse, and expandable for simultaneous use for 30 youth soccer games
• 2 regulation natural grass Little League baseball fields with dugouts and bleachers, convertible to softball fields or to midsize youth baseball fields for AAU baseball and to a full-sized diamond
• 1 regulation women’s and men’s softball field, lighted with bleachers
• 1 regulation men’s baseball field, under lights with synthetic surface
• 4 basketball courts for fun and league play
• 8 tennis courts

• Covered picnic pavilion with concession facilities

Plans for the indoor center includes:

• 105,000 sf regulation-size multi-purpose field convertible for soccer, field hockey, football, lacrosse, basketball and tennis
• Adjacent Olympic-sized skating rink with 100 parking spaces, for local high school and town-sponsored youth leagues
• 35,000 sf family-style restaurant/entertainment venue
• 15,000-25,000 sf of office space
• Locker room, restroom and emergency care facilities
